My Learn to do List

Okay, so I completely stole this idea from Megan of My Baking Adventures (which, unfortunately her blog doesn't seem to be there anymore, Aug 2011). But it was such a fun idea, I couldn't help myself! So, here goes, but I'm sure this list will morph over time, as all of my lists have a tendency to do!!

1. Bagels
2. Challah February, 2011
3. Brioche
4. Fresh Pasta
5. Tiramisu
6. Cheesecake
7. Fresh Mozzarella
8. Pickles*
9. Red Velvet Cake
10. German Chocolate Cake
11. Tamales
12. Pecan Pralines
13. Divinity

*Technically speaking, I have made pickles before, but not as an "adult". I helped my mom and grandmother make them when I was little.

And now, a question for you: what are some things that you would put on your own "learn to do" list??

I told you about MY german chocolate cake experience right? Don't do what I did. lol. But I am sure yours will be all homemade and yummy...My list is to make something, anything from scratch, of course under your supervision!

You know what is funny, a couple of these items were on my mental list on what to do and I have made.

I made cheesecake, challah, I LOVE RED VELVET (I made that for my babies 1st birthday), Tamales (a fav)...Most of it is posted on my site.

We have a lot in commen. I have a four yr. old I have to force to eat veggies. I have a 19 mo. old who loves everything even guacamole. LOL.

Right on! So glad I inspired you - and I can't wait to see what you make first -

Thanks for your comment yesterday, I had made that meatloaf for TFFs a couple months ago. Yours looks so good! This is a great idea, I'm going to have to think about doing this myself. I have just recently started making homemade pasta and am hooked. Last year was the summer of canning and we are STILL eating pickles! I want to master pizza dough and bread too, I think the list is forming.....
